Acknowledgements
The SMiLE programme was originally organised by Dr. Mònica Escarcellé, Inspector Rosa Maria Codines (both from the Catalan Department of Education) and Dr. Liz Russell (Department of English and German Studies at the URV). The idea of the programme originates in 2007 from the hand of Dr. Escarcellé and Inspector Codines. In 2008, the programme took place for the first time in an experimental mode in the secondary school in Tarragona IES Martí Franquès.
As new members of the SMiLE team, we would like to express our admiration and gratitude for the work they did and their assistance during the process of transferring the programme to us.
